Andre Kadletz’s culinary journey began in his hometown of Florianopolis, Brazil, where he honed his skills by assisting his father with barbecues and savoring the family meals prepared by his mother and grandparents.
His passion for cooking was solidified when he took first place in a culinary contest in Brazil, winning a life-changing prize: a month-long study at the internationally acclaimed Institute Paul Bocuse in Lyon, France.
Returning to Brazil in 2005, Andre embarked on a culinary adventure at the Grand Hyatt São Paulo. His quest for knowledge and excellence later took him to London and Italy, where he had the privilege of working with renowned chefs and top-quality ingredients.
In 2011, Andre arrived in Perth, eager for new challenges. He worked for two esteemed French restaurants and a highly respected private member’s club. During these years, he forged connections with local producers and discovered amazing ingredients, enabling him to create unforgettable culinary experiences for guests, family, and friends.
Now, as the Head Chef at The Boats, Andre continues his culinary mission of showcasing simplicity on the plate, using the finest local ingredients he can source.
